Ace Frehley postpones Australian tour (Oct.14)

Original KISS Lead Guitarist
ACE FREHLEY
New Dates Announced
TOUR POSTPONED UNTIL EARLY 2010

Original KISS lead guitarist Ace Frehley was due in Australia next week for
3 shows, however Australian promoters advised today that the tour will now
be postponed until February 2010 in order to accommodate the artist
schedule and the newly tour dates.

When the tour does reach Australia in early 2010, it will be in an expanded
format with extra dates being scheduled in Perth and Adelaide due to
overwhelming demand from Ace fans in both those cities.

ACE was due to perform at Melbourne’s Palace October 19th, Sydney’s Enmore
Theatre October 20th and Brisbane’s The Tivoli October 21st.

Ticketholders can hold onto their tickets which will be valid for the new
dates – due to be announced shortly. Alternatively they can seek a refund
from their ticketing agency.

Peter Criss battled cancer (Oct 8)

PETER CRISS Reveals He Was Diagnosed With Breast Cancer - Oct. 6, 2009
Original KISS drummer Peter Criss has issued the following update:

"In '08, I was diagnosed with breast cancer, but with (early detection) my great doctor Alex Swistel and staff and the Lord above, who always looks over me, I am cancer-free today!!!

"I wanted to let you know men get it like women do. Don't be afraid to let someone know if you have a lump. Do the right thing for you and your loved ones and get it checked. Man or woman, there is no discrimination with breast cancer ... we all don't have nine lives."

Could Kiss finally make it into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? After being snubbed for years - the band has been eligible for the honor since 1999 - Kiss has finally been nominated, along with Abba, Donna Summer, Genesis, the Stooges, the Hollies, LL Cool J and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, the organization has announced. Jimmy Cliff, Darlene Love, Laura Nyro and the Chantels are also on the ballot, and votes will be cast by a group of more than 500 musicians and industry professionals; of the 12 nominees, the five that get the most votes will be announced in January and inducted into the Hall of Fame at its 25th annual ceremony on March 15 at the Waldorf-Astoria in Manhattan. Acts become eligible 25 years after the release of their first record.
